A former managing director of John Lennon Airport in Liverpool has been appointed the new CEO of Shannon Airport.

Neil Pakey has over 30 years experience in the aviation industry, and the Scot takes up the role on a three year term from next month.
He will also become CEO of the new Shannon entity which will be formed following the merger of Shannon Airport with a restructured Shannon Development.
Shannon Airport Chairperson Rose Hynes says they are ‘very fortunate’ to have secured Mr. Pakey while Transport Minister Leo Varadkar has also welcomed his appointment.
