New car sales in Clare were up by 24% per cent in the first half of this year.

That's according to new figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry.
Just over 2,300 cars were sold between January and June up from just over 1,860 on the same period in 2015.
There were 30 new car registrations in the county last month, that's up from 17 in June 2015.
The figures are roughly in line with the national average.
The SIMI says at the start of the year that it expected 150,000 vehicles would be sold nationally this year.
They claim today's figures show the sector is on track to meet that target.
