Motor dealers in Clare have reported the biggest increase in sales of any county in Munster and the third highest of any county in Ireland.

At the end of November, 2037 new passenger cars had been registered in the county, up from 1361 for the same time last year.
This 49.7% increase trails only Cavan and Leitrim.
Car sales in November increased by nearly 80 per cent last month, meanwhile, though figures were low as dealerships wait for the annual rush in January.
