New car sales in Clare so far this year are down around 6 percent on the same period last year.
The Society of the Irish Motor Industry’s Quarter 1 report shows that since January 1st, there have been 1,633 new units sold in Clare, down over 100 on the 2017 figure.

It’s on a par with the dip being experienced nationally, which is being blamed on the shadow of Brexit looming ahead.
