A new outreach service has been launched in East Clare offering support to people with cancer.

Provided by Clare Cancer Support, the service will be offered at the Community Hospital in Raheen and will include counselling for cancer patients, meditation reflexology, arts and crafts as well as information on diagnosis, treatment and care.
Previously, East Clare patients had to travel to a drop-in centre in Kilnamona to avail of what is to be provided in Raheen.
Anne Murphy, who is both an Oncology Nurse and Service User, says facilities like this are very important for patients.
