Clare County Council is encouraging the people of the county to clean up after their dogs.

The ongoing issue of dog fouling – particularly on Clare's beaches – is to be tackled by the local authority in a major media campaign.
Dog owners face fines of up to 150 euro for if they do not dispose of faeces in a responsible manner.
However Karen Foley, Environmental Awareness Officer with Clare County Council, admits it can often be difficult to enforce.
