Nearly €600,000 in funding has been announced for rural roads across Clare.
Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, has allocated the money towards upgrading roads and laneways across the county under the Local Improvement Scheme.

The Department says the funding will support the continued improvement of non-public roads and lanes that are not normally maintained by the local authorities.
Around 12.5 million euro has been allocated to counties nationwide under the scheme.
