Nearly 6,000 People In Clare Avail Of PUP This Week

Nearly 6,000 people in Clare have availed of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment this week.

It’s a fall of nearly 10% on last week’s figure, falling into line with the national average.

It’s also less than half the number of the peak total back in May, when more than 14,500 people were in receipt of the benefit in Clare.

Meanwhile, a further 28 people have been certified for the Enhanced Illness Benefit Payment here in the last seven days.
