A funding boost of almost €40m has been announced to upgrade and restrengthen local and regional roads in Clare.
The allocation has been confirmed today by the Department of Transport and will see over €17.5m invested in restoring the network, while €13.3m will go towards the completion of the Shannon Bridge Crossing.

Over €370,000 will fund new speed limit signs, with €640,000 to complete safety improvement works at 11 locations across the county.
Minister of State Timmy Dooley has been telling Clare FM’s Daragh Dolan that while more investment is needed, he believes its a significant amount.
