More than half of the callout charges levied by the Clare fire service last year have not been paid.

Figures outlined in today's Irish Times, show that around €174,000 was paid here following callouts last year.
However, a further €193,000 remained uncollected from homes and businesses on December 31st last.
Nationally, almost half of the €9.3 million owed to local authority fire services was not paid.
