A nationwide Status Yellow fog alert will come into effect this evening.
Met Éireann has warned that fog will become dense and widespread later on and will linger until Monday morning.

The conditions are expected to result in hazardous driving conditions and motorists are advised to drive with care.
The warning will be in place from 6pm this evening until 10am tomorrow morning.
