The National Ambulance Service is being urged to address the concerns of paramedics here, who want more workers to be hired for the life-saving service.

SIPTU says there is a shortage of around 19 paramedics in Clare, and that this is one of the reasons why individual ambulances and rapid response vehicles were unabailable for dozens of shifts last month.
Staff here say they could consider industrial action if their concerns are not addressed.
