NAMA officials are to appear before a special sitting of the Public Accounts Committee later.
It’s in a bid to provide information about the current controversy of alleged impropriety at the agency. Gardai are investigating claims that staff and former employees of NAMA have been leaking confidential information.
It’s also been alleged that loans taken on by the agency were undervalued for political and PR reasons – to ensure a better return for the taxpayer.
NAMA chairman Frank Daly and chief executive Brendan McDonagh will attend this morning’s meeting – the Secretary General from the Department of Finance will also be present.
