Two more candidates have been elected in the West Clare area, as a dogfight brews for the last few places on Clare County Council.

Richard Nagle (FF) and Bill Slattery (FG) exceeded the quota after six counts – both have now been successfully returned to the local authority, along with Christy Curtin who was elected earlier today.
The remaining eight candidates are vying for five seats, the last places to be filled on the County Council.
