Ghazala Khan stood beside her husband Khizr at the Democratic convention last week as he spoke about their son, a US soldier killed in action.
In response to the speech Trump suggested Mrs Khan didn't speak because her religion forbade it, but speaking on ABC's This Week, she said she was too upset to say a word.
