A murder investigation is underway after a fatal knife attack in Dublin.

The victim a 56 year old man received serious stab wounds following an incident at a flat at Ballybough House at around 5 pm yesterday evening.
He was rushed to hospital but died a few hours later.
Two men were arrested in connection with the stabbing and remain in Garda custody this morning.
