Munster GAA is aiming to establish a first ever rounders club in Clare.
Despite being one of the four original games of the Gaelic Athletic Association when it was founded in 1884, there are just 70 clubs nationwide, with 6 in Limerick, a strong base in Galway, but none in this county.

Despite this Clare continues to have a strong tradition of competing in the sport at community games level and expressions of interest are now being launched to develop teams here.
Muster GAA Rounders Development Officer Michael Sheahan says he’s committed to growing the game throughout the county.
