Clare’s set for a multi million euro economic boost with the official opening of a state of the art cloud computing centre in Shannon by the Jobs Minister today.
Global corporation -Mentor Graphics is basing its regional date operations- which serves all of Europe, The Middle East and Africa on a two and a half acre site in East Park which it purchased from Shannon Development.
The centre which has created 7 high end jobs is adjacent to its existing premises which currently employs over a hundred people.

Mentor Graphics hopes to double it’s workforce within three years and says continued investment in the site will lead to a large spin-off for other firms in Ireland.
