The moving 12-month average price of a home in Clare rose by €25,000 in May.
The latest Central Statistics Office figures reveal €320,000 was the median price paid for a home in the county in the year to May.
A total of 70 housing transactions were completed in Clare in May of this year, coming to a value of €21.9 million.
The average price paid was €322,500 in the month in question which was up 8% on €300,000 in the same month last year.
Buyers in Ennis, where 44 transactions took place, were typically paying €300,000, while in Shannon, where 10 homes were sold, the average was €267,500.
Just seven sales were completed in the Kilrush area in May, with €209,975 being the average price paid.
Looking at the moving 12-month average price of a home in the county in May, prices rose by €25,000, or roughly 8%, to €320,000.
