Gardai are urging Clare motorists to play their part in ensuring no lives are lost on our roads this October Bank Holiday weekend.

It comes as Clare’s crime prevention officer is asking motorists to be vigilant, slowdown, always wear a seatbelt and never ever drink and drive.

The public are also being reminded that they could still be over the limit the next morning, and to take the necessary precautions such as leaving the car at home, taking a taxi or other forms of public transport.
