A motorist is recovering in hospital after his van left the road and crashed into a field in west Clare.
The single vehicle collision happened at around 7.30 last evening near The Hand on the main Ennis to Miltown Malbay road.

Two units of the fire brigade and an ambulance from Ennistymon along with a rapid response advanced paramedic unit from Ennis responded to the scene.
Fire personnel and paramedics safely removed the injured driver from the vehicle before he was removed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
