A motorist in Clare has been penalised for driving with window tints 50% darker than the legal limit.
During a patrol on the M18 today, Clare’s Roads Policing Unit stopped an E91 BMW 3-Series Coupé.

A roadside testing device showed the tint only allowed 15% light to pass through the window, while the minimum requirement is 65%.
The driver was directed to remove the tints and issued with a fine and two penalty points.
