Motorist Clocked At 140KM/H Near Newmarket-On-Fergus

A motorist in Clare has been clocked travelling 20km/h above the speed limit as part of a national garda operation.

So far on National Slow Down Day, 484 vehicles have been detected speeding by Gardaí, Go Safe Vans and fixed speed cameras.

Among them was a motorist travelling 140km/h on the M18 in Newmarket-On-Fergus.

All motorists concerned will be issued with 3 penalty points and a €160 fine.
