An Ennis car salesman admits that the sector is currently undergoing “very difficult times”.
It comes as the Society of the Irish Motor Industry’s January figures have revealed a major shift away from diesel powered engines, with an 18% drop year-on-year in the number of new cars sold.
Here in Clare, the overall number of new cars sold this month compared to January of 2019 is down almost 10%.
