In the North, the mother of a toddler found dead in Lisburn has been charged with his murder.

Brendan Owens’ body was discovered in a house in Trinity Terrace in the city in July, and today his mother Michelle appeared at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court.
The 27 year old didn’t speak during the brief appearance – where a detective said he could connect her to the charge.
No bail application was made.
