The mother of a Clare child who suffered from Meningitis is urging the government to introduce a MenB vaccine.
The Meningitis Research Foundation is running a national awareness campaign all week, calling for parents to be vigilant for early detection of the virus.
The MRF estimates there are approximately four cases of meningitis and septicaemia in Ireland every week, a stat that can be greatly reduced.
Maria Malone – who's six year old son contracted the virus in June of this year, wants to share her first-hand experience, hoping it will help other with early detection.
