An initiative to help those in mortgage distress has successfully resolved the cases of more than 13-hundred AIB Group customers.

Of those 1,330 customers, around 30% were facing repossession proceedings but have now achieved a long term sustainable solution due to engagement with the Irish Mortgage Holders Organisation.
It says a significant number of families and individual homeowners have successfully had their mortgage challenges resolved under the scheme, which has been piloted for the last year.
It's now being extended for a further 12 months.
