A Clare mother of four says her family’s quality of life has been devastated by the accommodation crisis.
The Morning Focus listener who has chosen to remain anonymous, became homeless in December following a house fire.
Since then, the woman accompanied by her four children had been living in the sitting room of her elderly mother’s apartment, where she and her young children were sleeping on furniture and a matress placed on the floor.
The woman was able to gain access to a local refuge, however the household were discharged this week.
The Morning Focus listener says despite her best efforts she has been unable to source any alternatives.
