Around 6,037 properties in Clare are without power tonight, after Storm Darragh has made landfall.
A red weather alert for wind came into effect at 9 o’clock tonight and remains in place until 2am, while an orange alert remains in place until 10am tomorrow.

The properties in the greater Ennis, Clarecastle, Barefield, Lisseycasey, Cranny, Kilmihil, Doonbeg, Kilkee, Kildysart, Corofin, Tulla and Truagh areas lost supply shortly after 9pm.
ESB crews are expected to be mobilised after the storm weather has dissipated.
The ESB’s current estimated restoration time is 5pm tomorrow evening.
