Nurses say more patients on waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick than the next four busiest hospitals in the country combined today.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation recorded 117 admitted patients waiting for beds at the MidWest region’s main hospital this morning.

University Hospital Galway is the next busiest this morning with 31 patients on trolleys, followed by 26 at Sligo University Hospital, 24 in Letterkenny and 23 in Mercy University Hospital, Cork.
According to the INMO, there are 416 patients on trolleys natiownwide today, with more than one in four at UHL.
