A meeting of the HSE's Health Forum West has heard that funding will be made available for more care packages and home help hours in the coming months.

It comes as Councillor Tom McNamara has been re-elected Chairman of the committee.
The Kilmaley Councillor secured backing of 40 representatives across 9 counties at a meeting at Merlin Park Hospital last evening.
Councillor McNamara believes the additional measures will be a great relief to many people in Clare.
