Modest boost in Christmas Retail sales

Retailers saw a small Christmas boost to sales – with a monthly increase of just 0.3 percent in terms of the value of sales – once car sales are excluded.

Figures from Ennis based Ennis based Retail Excellence Ireland show traders experienced the best Christmas in years – and while these figures from the CSO don’t contradict that, the increase is modest.
