The latest live register figures for Clare have revealed mixed news for the county.

Over 10,000 remain on the dole queues here, but overall the numbers signing on this month has fallen by 25.
Drops have been recorded in North and West Clare, though the numbers drawing the dole in East Clare and in particular in Ennis has risen in February.
Over 5,600 people in the county town are now seeking some form of benefits, a number which Deputy Mayor Tommy Brennan feels shows an urgent need for the government to attract some form of inward investment
