Minister Of State At Department Of Transport Labels Wait For Driving Tests In Clare As ‘Unacceptable’

The Minister of State at the Department of Transport has described the wait for driving tests in Clare as ‘unacceptable’.

Currently, there’s an average wait time of 15 weeks to take a test in Kilrush, 20 weeks in Ennis and 35 weeks in Shannon.

The average wait time nationwide is 19 weeks, but the service level agreement with the RSA is that candidates should wait no longer than 10 weeks.

 

Responding to a question from Clare Fine Gael Deputy, Joe Carey, Minister Jack Chambers has confirmed that he will liaise with the RSA.
