The Minister Of State at the Department Of Integration claims mutual understanding will be the key to solving the impasse at Magowna House.
Minister Joe O’Brien held a second meeting with a delegation of demonstrators yesterday, where he proposed an independent ‘structured’ mediation process pending the agreement of both the Asylum Seekers and Inch residents.
The Inch community group have been assured that no additional International Protection Applicants will be housed in Magowna for the duration of any arbitration period, and are expected to make their decision on the matter this weekend.
Deputy O’Brien is confident consistent dialogue can deliver a sustainable way forward for both groups.
