Minister Of State Confident Inch Community Will See The Benefits Of Lifting Magowna Blockade

The Minister of State at the Department of Integration is hopeful the community of Inch will see the benefits of lifting a roadblock on approach to Magowna House.

Green Party Minister, Joe O’Brien met with a delegation of locals last night where he requested the ending of the blockade, on the condition that no additional Asylum Seekers will be hosted at Magowna over the next four weeks.

Parishoners have been working in shifts to man a makeshift barricade at both access points to the hotel following the arrival of 34 International Male Protection Applicants without prior consultation on Monday.

The proposal is currently under review by the wider community in Inch and the Minister is due to reconvene with locals in a months time.

However Minister O’Brien, says he would like to see more Asylum Seekers located at the site in the near future.
