The Environment Minister has criticised Dublin City Council for the lack of notice it gave people in relation to planned restrictions to the water supply in Dublin.

Phil Hogan says the council should have informed residents sooner so people could have prepared themselves better.
Over a million people are affected by the water shortages in Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow, which arose following a production problem at the Ballymore Eustace treatment plant.
