The Minister for Communications says his Government hasn't abandoned rural Ireland.

Alex White is in Doolin today to launch the Government's proposals for the roll out of the National Broadband Plan.
The programme won't be completed until at least the end of 2016 if not longer- Minister White is defending the delay and saying the national roads and electrification programmes also took a great deal of time.
