Minister Expects IAA To Examine Airline Safety

The Transport Minister says he expects there to be a review of Ireland's aviation regulations in light of this week's Germanwings tragedy.

Police in Germany are continuing to search two homes linked to the co-pilot who is believed to have deliberately crashed the passenger jet into the French Alps, killing 149 passengers and crew.

Andreas Lubitz was alone on the flight deck when the plane crashed, but Minister Paschal Donohue has told Clare FM that Aer Lingus and Ryanair already have regulations in place insisting that two people are in the cockpit at all times.
