Minister Claims He Has No Role In Clareabbey Treatment Plant Upgrade

The Minister for Local Government claims he doesn’t have a role in the delivery of an upgrade to the Clareabbey Treatment Plant.

At present, no new developments in Clarecastle or on the southside of Ennis can get a public wastewater connection as the plant is at full capacity.

In written correspondence to Ennis Municipal District, Minister James Browne has said the upgrade of the facility is the responsibility of Uisce Éireann.

Ennis Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat Daly says he wants a meeting to be set up between Oireachtas members, Minister Browne and the water utility.
