A Junior Minister admits there’s a ‘lot of pressure on Clare’ in particular in accommodating Ukrainian refugees.
Almost 3,000 people from the war torn state have made this county their home since conflict began there back in February.
The local authority says its focus will remain on sustaining and delivering services in communities in the medium term, with more than 20 agencies coming together so far in Clare to co-ordinate the response to the crisis.
However, Minister of State at the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Anne Rabbitte, says there’s a particular strain on services in this county.
