Two burst water mains have lead to the people of the Miltown Malbay and Ennis being without water today as works continue to fix them.
Supply may be disrupted to people in Miltown Malbay, Mullagh, Cree, Cooraclare and surrounding areas as well as those in Gort Road, Ballyalla, Cregard, Ballyogan, Barefield and surrounding areas in Ennis.
Works are due to be completed by 5pm this evening in Ennis and 6pm in Miltown Malbay, although it may take a further 2 to 3 hours for supply to be fully restored to all properties.

This is the second time in less than a week that Miltown Malbay is without water, with replacement works on the line not due to begin until next year.
