Midwest Migrants Rights Group, Doras, says migrant workers are more likely to flag issues within a workplace directly to them rather than taking legal measures.
It follows the publication of a report from the Economic and Social Research Institute that indicates fears of unemployment and deportation has exposed migrant workers to exploitation.

The ESRI says that efforts have been made to improve employment law, but that a lack of work permit inspections have lead to migrants being exposed to incredibly poor working conditions.
CEO of Doras, John Lannon, says in extreme situations, human trafficking has occurred to facilitate workplace exploitation.
