Midwest Simon Claims Scheme For First Time Buyers Will Have Little Impact Here

Midwest Simon insists that new Government plans for first time buyers will have a limited impact in Clare.

Housing Minister Simon Coveney has announced a ten thousand euro tax rebate for those buying homes valued above quarter of a million euro, as part of efforts to reheat the property market.

But Midwest Simon's General Manager believes that based on current house prices in the county, it won't apply to many people looking for accommodation here.

The Simon Community has published new figures today which show that almost one in three are worried about the shortage of affordable homes available to rent or buy and Jackie Bonfield says it's a real issue here in Clare.
