The CEO of the Midwest Simon says an alternative to hotel and B&B accommodation for homeless people in Clare and elsewhere needs to be found as a priority.
It comes after a Freedom of Information request from Clare FM revealed more than four million euro was spent on providing emergency accommodation to people in this county in the last five years.

60 percent of this spend was in the last two years alone, including one million euro last year.
Midwest Simon CEO Jackie Bonfield says preventing people getting into a situation where they require emergency accommodation is key.
