The CEO of Midwest Simon says the charity is preparing itself for an increase in the number of people presenting to its services this winter.

It comes as new figures show this region retains the highest level of homelessness per head of the population in the country.

63 people are classified as being without a home in Clare according to the Department of Housing, with 17 of them children.

Speaking with Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville, Midwest Simon CEO Jackie Bonfield says the ending of eviction bans and rent increases means numbers are likely to jump in the next number of months.
