A Midwest politics professor doesn’t believe Syria’s future will be one of “peace and reconstruction”.
It comes as Israel is reported to have launched more than 250 raids across Syria today after seizing a demilitarised buffer zone in the Golan Heights at the weekend.
Ousted former Syrian prime minister Bashar al-Assad meanwhile has been granted asylum in Russia, having had his Government toppled by Islamist opposition group HTS.
