House Prices in the Midwest are rising at a faster rate than anywhere else in the country.
New CSO figures, outlined in today’s Irish Daily Mail, show the cost of buying a home rose by 19% in Clare, Limerick and Tipperary last year, as the region tries to catch up with the rest of the country.

Smaller, starter homes had a higher percentage rise compared to more expensive homes.
Nationally, house prices are climbing at almost ten times the rate of inflation, with the average price of a house now just below €300,000 – an 18,000 euro rise in the space of a year.
