A Clare-based member of the Midwest Hospitals Campaign says ‘now is the time’ to end hospital overcrowding ahead of their weekend demonstration.
Members of the group from this county are to join others from the region this Saturday and protest in Limerick against the overcrowding crisis, with similar events taking place at other locations throughout the country.
University Hospital Limerick’s been consistently among the busiest facilities nationwide over the last number of years, though the HSE has refused to row back on the reconfiguration of services in the region as recently as this week.
Ballyvaughan-based member of the Midwest Hospitals Campaign, Noeleen Moran, says Ireland’s healthcare system is lagging behind other countries.
