The Midwest Hospitals Campaign is holding a vigil this afternoon for those it says it have been impacted by overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick.
The event is being held outside the gates of the Dooradoyle facility at around 4pm.

More than 1,500 patients were recorded on trolleys by nurses at UHL throughout December, with the hospital being the most overcrowded in the country.
Ballyvaughan native and Midwest Hospitals Campaign member Noeleen Moran says overcrowding at the regions main hospital is causing unnecessary deaths.
